Squirrels and other tree climbing rodents are known for exploring and trying to enter screech owl houses. To deter these pests, the slippery roof attached to the Amador Screech Owl House will make for difficult / slippery grip. Additionally, the top panel provides for added longevity in protecting the exposed top surface. These covers are only recommended for installations on trees, within squirrel jumping distance of a tree, but available to use for aesthetic or other functional purposes.
